20th Century European Rugs

Oxford Decorative Arts specialises in European designed rugs, which span the 20th century. The rugs are of top quality and design, and will appeal to discerning collectors and interior decorators.

Our collection includes examples of the arts and crafts movement: geometric and floral designs from the 1920s to the 1950s; pop-art and psychedelic creations of the 1960s and specially commissioned one-off contemporary rugs. All the rugs are original to their period.

The company is run by Zoë Kurtz, a passionate collector who has been inspired to share her enthusiasm, in collaboration with the respected and established firm of C. John, (Rare Rugs) suppliers to H.M. Queen Elizabeth II, who were looking to broaden their range of 20th century rug stock.
